Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention week is the second week in October. During this
week, the Winfield Fire Protection District provides educational
programs for all ages. Firefighters will visit the local elementary
schools with demonstrations in smoke detectors, checking students'
skills in “Stop, Drop and Roll,” and teaching people
what to do when a smoke detector is activated.
